Studio News

Communication is important in any creative endeavor, whether it's visual expression or the written word. Many of my current and past customers contact me to inquire about the progress of new work and to better understand my process. I've now included this "blog" to help describe my life in the studio. I'll post on a weekly basis and welcome your feedback or comments.

There's not much production in my studio these days...I'm preparing for a move to a new residence and studio on my son's property later this month. The process of sorting, packing and discarding is more difficult than I first imagined, but will help simplify my life going forward. I anticipate getting back to work in early May without further interuptions and have a commission for a painting along with requirements for new work for the two galleries that represent me. Exciting and positive for the road ahead.

Today marks the launch of my new website, over which I finally have some control with the content. In the past I was unable to easily update the gallery images and was forced to accumulate new paintings over a period of time and then have the site developer make editing changes to a rather limiting grid. It was costly and time consuming, and as a result the site became out of date fairly quickly. Now, I can handle the updates myself and keep the site current with new work.
